Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Cuzco to Soraypampa

  • Departure: 4:00 AM from your accommodation in Cuzco
  • Return: Between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM to central Cuzco

    • Breakfast stop in Mollepata
    • Trek to Soraypampa and visit to the stunning Laguna Humantay

  • As of 2021, Peru’s Ministry of Culture requires visitors to Machu Picchu to follow specific one-way routes. Four circuits were established to regulate traffic and protect the archaeological site.

Additional Entry Options

  • For an extended visit and access to additional areas (Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, or Huchuy Picchu Mountain), it is essential to add the corresponding complete entry to your reservation.

Recommendations

  • It is highly recommended to include the additional entry to fully experience Machu Picchu.
  • Visiting two additional areas on the same day is not possible due to time constraints.
  • Machu Picchu entry availability is limited; booking two to three months in advance, especially during peak seasons, is advised.
